We were able to obtain the land that adjoined their farm.
We put our house on the market and the search began.
We looked at double wide trailers that could be made stationary (since we were in tornado alley and God hates trailers) and found several we liked. We looked at building a home but that was just not in our budget. We looked at putting up a metal building which seemed to be our best option.
I also contacted a couple of companies about the modular homes. Jeff Warren with New Castle was the only one that actually sent us any information. We looked through the books and found a few that we liked. We too a road trip to Harrisonville to see what they had and discuss prices/options. Jeff was very helpful and eager to show us some of the model units set up on their lot. We found one we really liked but knew we couldn’t do anything until our house sold.
So the wait began. However we stayed in contact with Jeff and made several trips to Harrisonville. We tried several different options of what we wanted in the house. Jeff was so patient with us and willing to try and help anyway he could. Even on one of our last trips to Harrisonville, there was a new model set up which we loved (along with our kids). We could not decided which one we liked better. This made the decision even harder.
We also kept checking other options. When our house finally sold, we checked on the metal building again as t was within our budget. However that company stopped selling metal builds.
I know God had a reason for us to work with Jeff. He was able to get us the house we wanted and absolutely love the house. Even after we found a few items that needed to be fixed (some thought I was being a little too picky) Jeff was willing to fix these issues without any question. After we have lived here for almost a year and the house has had a chance to settle, they are fixing a few items that needed to be repaired – cracks in the walls, windows not staying open, etc.
New Castle and Jeff Warren has been a pleasure to work with and I am recommending them to anyone I know that is looking for a home. They were willing to work with us in getting what we wanted in our home and within our budget. Jeff was even able to help recommend a bank for the financing when our bank was being difficult.
I cannot thank you enough Jeff Warren for all your help in getting us in your new home. You are a true blessing from God.
I have nothing but good to say about New Castle Homes. The display houses give you a real understanding of the look and feel of the house, from the decorating to the placing of furniture. The sales staff does an excellent job in presenting the houses. Jeff and his sales team are polite, courteous, knowledgeable and not overbearing when presenting the houses.
It was only a matter of days from the time my house was on site that the New Castle team had it in place and set up. The crews were great in putting the house in place; the roofing, plumbing, sheetrock and trim took no time and were done in a professional manner. All this was accomplished by the leadership from the service department in getting all the trades to come together at the right time whether it was done in-house by New Castle employees or by outside contracted help. They all did a fine job. The New Castle sales department dealt with any problems that I might have had quickly and satisfactorily.
It has been a joy from the first day of walking on the lot and working with sales, management, and service of New Castle. It has been a pleasure to show off our home to friends and family and to be able to recommend the houses that New Castle offer and the effort that the New Castle team puts forth. We indeed are pleased.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone at New Castle Homes. My husband and I drew up plans for a retirement home on a lake. Unfortunately (actually it should be fortunately) we could not afford our dream plans. We were looking for alternatives but really didn’t find anything that we liked until a friend told us about a Cedar Chalet modular on display at New Castle Homes. We really liked the Cedar Chalet and the layout was somewhat similar to our dream plans, it was larger in square footage and roughly half the cost.
We ended up buying the Chalet and asked NCH to give us two months to get everything ready, as we had to tear down an old cabin. From there things went downhill with surveying, acquiring the proper permits and some devastating personal setbacks. As long as I continued keeping NCH apprised of what was going on, they always assured that they would work with me. And indeed, they did work with me! It ended up being eight months before the permits were granted and another two months to get the foundation and all the pre-work done.
From the set-up crew to the carpet man, from the walk-thru to the final finishing touches, all of the workmen showed skill, knowledge and professionalism. To Jeannie in the service department, thank you for putting up with my limited construction vocabulary, but somehow still understanding what I was trying to say. You always got back to me in a timely manner. And to NCH, you worked with me every step of the way. Thank you for your understanding, patience and guidance…and your sense of humor.
I have the most beautiful quality home now. Everyone that walks in the front door for the first time just stops and says “WOW!” It is a WOW home. Thank you New Castle.
This letter is my testimonial on home much I appreciate doing business with New Castle Homes.
At times, I have been a little upset with the manufacture of our home but New Castle was always there to help. I want to thank you especially for your help and consideration with our air conditioner problem. I feel this problem has been resolved, thanks to you and Royal Supply Co.
I wish to thank in addition to you, your employees, Jeanie, Joe and Jeff who have always been very helpful to us.
I have and will continue to recommend New Castle Homes to friends, family and acquaintances.
Again, thank you very much.
We would like to say “thank you” and to all the people that has help us at New Castle. We are very satisfied with our Dutch home. We bought it in 1995 and any problem that we had they have help s in everyway. We would recommend New Castle homes & service to everyone we get a chance to.
Thanks for all your help getting our new home completed. Your guidance and assistance was much appreciated. It was reassuring to know that your infrastructure and network of contractors were able to handle every phase of the building process, making it virtually a one stop process. You were never too busy to respond to our needs and answer any questions that we had, from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend New Castle Homes to anyone wanting to build a quality modular home.
Our Commodore home is located in rural Denison, Kansas.
Our new home arrived in March 2007 and of course there was mud everywhere. We finally got to move in towards the end of May. We sat the house on a full walkout basement, and in June of 2007 we added the 2 car garage on the front and in June 2008 the front porch was added.
The only thing left is to put a deck on the back side.
Everyone comments that they can not believe it is a modular home, they think it was stick build until we tell them different. And when they step inside they are amazed by the size and openness of the house.
We have already decided if some disaster would destroy our house, we would have the same house built for us again.
Overall we have been please with our home from Commodore.
Thanks New Castle Homes
I wanted to write to let you know what a pleasure it s to do business with a company that not only says what you want to hear, but they stand behind their word. We bought a double-wide Dutchess from you in July. Jeff Warren was our sales representative. He is such a breath of fresh air in the business world. He is very knowledgeable on all of your products as an excellent salesman should be. He made statements about prices, or about what we wanted in our home. Months later he remembered and stood behind those statements. Jeff went above and beyond his “call of duty” to please us in every way. Knowing that you deliver 300 miles free. We eagerly recommend New Castle to anyone – anywhere. Thank you so much. Sign us…Very Satisfied Customers.
Our overall experience with New Castle was great! From the very beginning of the process, Jeff Warren, our salesman, was very patient and attentive. (Not to mention ornery and with a great sense of humor, too!)
We really love our house and feel that it is well-built. My husband, Mike, is a real-estate appraiser and says that the quality of the house is probably better than most stick-built houses out there. This is due to the fact that the majority of it was produced in an environmentally-controlled factory (which we walked through), versus being built at the mercy of the weather outside.
It’s been a lot of fun seeing the looks on people’s faces when they find out our house is a modular home. So many people think of a “modular” home as a “house trailer” and are shocked to find out ours was brought to the location in six pieces then put together like a puzzle! Once they get past the “trailer” mentality, they start to truly appreciate the quality of the work.
Honestly, there are some things that could’ve been done differently on the finishing end of the process. This was due to some of the contractors that were sent to the site that weren’t as diligent about doing a great job as the factory people were. But on the whole, we are very pleased with the product. In fact, we have recommended my own mother to Jeff and to New Castle and she plans to put a house close to us in the next few months.
